How You Can Show Your Support
Tax dollars do NOT fund county law libraries. Our primary funding source comes from a portion of the first paper filing fee in civil cases (which has dropped in Santa Cruz County by 38%!) The rest of our revenue comes from our in-house charges for materials and donations. Our Law Library is supported by a Memorandum of Understanding with the Superior Court of California that provides financial support for staffing and other supportive services. Even with that support we struggle to maintain our current level of services.
You can show your support by sponsoring a publication, donating money or supplies, and letting our elected officials know how much you appreciate having a Law Library in Santa Cruz County.
Donate or contact our representatives today!
The Law Library accepts check or cash donations in person, or by mail!
